What to Expect in The Wisdom Within™ Somatic Practitioner Training – Take a Peek Inside
If you have been curious about The Wisdom Within™ Somatic Practitioner Training, this blog post offers a small peek inside, so you can get a sense for the structure, the depth, and the level of skills you would be cultivating - and explore how it could shape and impact your existing or desired work with women.
Let me start by saying: this isn’t a traditional “skills training.”
It’s a carefully crafted, embodied journey into understanding women’s bodies, nervous systems, lived experiences, and the kind of attuned presence needed to guide women through real transformation.
It offers both, a personal embodiment journey so you experience this work first-hand, and a professional practitioner development stream.
Here’s a glimpse of what we will explore together:
1. Women’s Lived Experiences & Somatic Imprints
We begin by honouring the context of women, our lived experiences and the personal, relational, cultural, and multi-generational imprints we carry.
You’ll learn to recognise how these shape our:
Emotional patterns
Nervous system responses
Identity
Relationships
What feels possible for us in our lives and in the world (and what doesn’t)
This is the foundation for ethical, attuned work with women.
2. Nervous System Literacy for Women
You will learn to read the nervous system with clarity and confidence to understand a woman’s pace, thresholds, and capacity in the moment, so that your support is deeply attuned and meets tender moments skilfully.
This includes:
How safety is cultivated somatically
The patterns of collapse, freeze, fawn, hyper-vigilance that are most commonly experienced by women
What makes women’s nervous systems different, and what it means when we work somatically
Our unique hormonal cycles and how they influence our nervous system and lived experiences
Skilful, trauma-informed somatic facilitation, including titration, pendulation, pacing
This gives you the ability to guide women by creating a foundation of inner stability, and a softening in the body that paves the way for this work (without overriding what's emerging).
3. The Rested, Rooted, Radiant™ Framework
You will learn my signature framework for women-centred somatic transformation: the Rested, Rooted, Radiant™ Framework. In fact, you will personally be guided through it during the first stream of the training: the personal embodiment stream.
This means that you will develop an embodied understanding of the framework first, so that you can guide the women you support through it skilfully, confidently, and with integrity.
The RESTED Phase
Here, we focus on cultivating enough inner safety for the nervous system and body to soften, and for survival energy to dissipate. Think of it as tending the soil upon which the deeper work will take root.
The ROOTED Phase
We move into digesting somatic imprints and reconnecting women with their inner wisdom, voice, boundaries, truth, and sovereignty.
The RADIANT Phase
From a place of sovereignty and wholeness, we shift from inner listening to outer expression: the emergence of new ways of being that feel aligned, vibrant and sustainable, and the possibility to embrace our unique expression of feminine leadership.
We explore why transformation must begin with resourcing and how this sequencing gently but powerfully holds the somatic arc of transformation.
4. Skills for Somatic Facilitation For Women
This is where we dive more deeply into honing your skills as a somatic practitioner.
By this point, you will have experienced the holding of somatic facilitation first-hand. This knowledge will already live in your body. Here, we'll explore replicable frameworks and key pillars of trauma-informed somatic facilitation.
You’ll learn to:
Guide women into their bodies gently and skilfully
Track somatic cues and micro-shifts
Follow the body’s pacing, and meeting what's emerging
Work with activation and deactivation
Meet emotional intensity without collapsing or fixing
Co-regulate from a place of steadiness and clarity
These are the invisible skills that elevate your impact as a practitioner and make your work not only safe and ethical, but also deeply transformational.
5. The Art of Attunement & Relational Presence
So much of our inner transformation happens in relationships, particularly for women.
Creating a resonant relational field is vital, so we will explore how to:
Attune without blending or absorbing your clients emotions
Create resonance and a felt sense of safety
Hold a relational field that naturally facilitates transformation
This will further deepen your skills as a practitioner.
6. Integrating the Work Into Your Own Practice
Lastly, and crucially, through integration and Q&A sessions, you will have the space to reflect on what this could look like in your world - whether you are new to coaching/facilitation or weaving this work within existing modalities that you already practice.
This isn't a cookie-cutter model, and the way you choose to take it forward or integrate it in your existing work will be unique - which is what will contribute to making your work so potent.
